Pair your phone

The app opens from your own app-server on your machine. For phone access, use the Tailscale HTTPS link printed by cyc pair with both devices on your tailnet. A localhost link works only on the machine running the app-server.

Use the pairing key shown on your machine to enrol your phone by link, QR or typed key, even on localhost. It travels in a URL fragment, which browsers do not send in HTTP requests or the Referer header. Keep the link and QR private: they contain your pairing key.

A new device must prove it holds the pairing key before the engine enrols it. Returning devices authenticate with their enrolled device key. A changed engine identity requires an explicit trust or pairing decision.
